Position
Summary:
The Site Operations Manager will oversee resin production at the Fort Madison Site.
The Manager will work with the Resin Operators, Technical Team, Maintenance and other support functions to ensure a safe, productive and continuously improving work environment.
Accountable for meeting business metrics including cost, quality and production.
Sets expectation and establishes a strong safety culture for the plant.

Responsibilities:
Provides oversight for Resin production at the Fort Madison Site.
Site Operations and Business Execution:
Assists the site in developing best-in-class practices and systems for operations, helping the site to deliver world-class performance in safety, cost, quality and productivity Remains consistently focused on customer needs through integrated processes, systems and use of technology Demonstrates strong and unyielding commitment to Axalta's safety culture Management Capability Development:
Supervises a team of approximately 20 Operators and Technicians at the Site Manages the activities, performance, development, and capabilities of the Resin production team Optimizes total delivered cost:
Responsible for execution of business plans within cost objectives as well as working with sourcing organization to provide forecasts and key cost optimization opportunitiesCommunication and Key Interfacing:
Interfaces with site leadership to effectively allocate site resources.
Key interfaces include:
Business Leadership, Operations and Supply Chain resources, Safety, Human Resources and Information Technology professionalsMinimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; Engineering or Supply Chain discipline strongly preferred Strong safety background and experience managing in a chemical/PSM environment Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Part of this communication is being visible on the shop floor.
Knowledge of operations, business and supply chain functions.
Able to translate that knowledge of these functions to Axalta's Industrial Business Leaders.
Have demonstrated creative approaches to operational and personnel issues or constraints.
Has a broad skill base and has demonstrated the ability to transfer knowledge and skills to others for their developmentOur Company:
